Jose Medina Mesa, 87 of Victoria passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday the 29th of September 2024. Jose was born on the 28th of January 1937 in Panna Maria, TX to Jesus Meza and Paula Medina.
Jose worked for the City of Runge in the maintenance department for over 20 years before moving to Victoria.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Maria Reyes Mesa; daughters Alicia Mesa(Gino Mireles)of Victoria, TX, Patricia Mesa-Shults of London, Kentucky; Rebecca(Frank) Naranjo of Portland, TX, Melinda Mesa-Harris(Scott) of Lufkin, TX, Laura Ann Mesa of Victoria; sons Jose(JoAnn) Mesa, Jr of Victoria, Jesus(Dahlia) Mesa of Victoria, LeeRoy Mesa of Runge, TX; Bobby Mesa of Victoria, TX; Larry Mesa of Victoria TX; Gary (Yanely) Mesa of Port Lavaca, TX; Randy(Gloria) Mesa of Victoria, Joe Anthony Mesa of Victoria, TX; sister Eloida Meza of Kenedy, TX; brother Ramon Meza of Kenedy, TX; thirty grandchildren and forty-nine great-grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening on Sunday the 6th of October at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A rosary will be recited at seven o’clock. The Funeral service will be at ten o’clock on Monday at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Honoring Mr. Mesa as pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Gino Ray Mireles, Eric Anthony Mireles, Joe Anthony Mesa, Jesse Ray Mesa, Gary Mesa Jr., Marcus Brandon Harris, and Joshua Bryce Harris.
