Jimmie Louis Kunetka

Jimmie Louis Kunetka, 88, of Victoria passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012. He was born December 7, 1923 in Yoakum to the late Louis J. and Agnes Nickle Kunetka. Jimmie worked for Southwestern Bell and retired after 36 years. He was also involved in ranching and hunting in DeWitt County and loved to bar-b-que and tend to his garden.

Survivors include his daughter, Jeanine (Ray Jones) Gerhardt; son, Michael (Cynde) Kunetka all of Victoria; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kunetka is preceded in death by his wife, Jean McGowan Kunetka, three sisters and his twin brother.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel from 6-7 PM with a rosary to begin at 7 PM. Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral with Rev. Michael Rother officiating. Graveside services will be held at Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council.

Pallbearers are Danny Jones, Paul Jones, John Kunetka, Jordan Stirneman, Ryan Wenzel, Alexander Jones and Ron Rideau.
