Over her lifetime, a number of illnesses challenged Jerry, including polio as a child. But she was a thankful survivor. Our sister was a kind soul with a sharp mind, who always looked out for the underdog.
Jerry was president of her Victoria High School 1967 graduating class. She was married twice: early in life to Bill Seaman, and later to LaVerne “Griff” Griffith (deceased). Even though she had no children of her own, Jerry molded the minds of hundreds of children as an elementary teacher for more than thirty years, primarily in Texas.
Over the years she enjoyed several hobbies, including watching her nephews play sports and road trips for music and camping. She loved Texas history, the Longhorns and the Astros.
Jerry is survived by a loving family that includes her twin sister, Terry Krueger and
husband, Royce, of Victoria; sister Virginia Gilstrap of Cuero; a brother, Jack
Terry, Jr. of Corpus Christi; and her two nephews, Christian Krueger (Megan) and Cory Krueger (Whitney) and two great-nieces and three great-nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Robert Gilstrap.
