Edna Zeplin Staff

Edna E. (Zeplin) Staff, 97 of Castroville formerly of Victoria passed away March 7, 2015. She was born in Guadalupe, Texas March 30, 1917 to the late Paul Zeplin and Helena Kano Zeplin. She was employed by J.C. Penny for many years as a retail sales manager. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Arnold of Castroville, Bernadene Scott of Round Top and Barbara Rader of Houston; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren and three step great- grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Staff; brothers, Richard, Robert and Edward Zeplin and son-in-law Charles Miller.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM Wednesday March 11, 2015 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with a rosary to follow at 7 P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday March 12, 2015 at 10 AM from the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Msgr. John Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Larry Arnold, Kerry Rader, Andy Scott, Keith Miller, Seth Miller and Blake Rader.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dorothy O’Connor Pet Adoption Center, Incarnate Word & Blessed Sacrament Sisters or charity of donor’s choice.
