Erna Maxine Mueller, 90, passed away surrounded by her family on September 20, 2020. Maxine was born March 29, 1930 in Three Rivers, Texas to the late Erna Henrietta (Maass) Barsch and Max Harvey Barsch.
Living in San Antonio, Texas, she met and married Walter A. Mueller on June 7, 1952. They were together for 54 years until his passing in 2006.
She was a longtime member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church where she was the director and teacher of the church’s kindergarten program for 28 years. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Maxine is survived by her children, Arthur Mueller (Karen), David Mueller (Carol), Linda Mueller, Robert Mueller all of Victoria; sister, Mary Northup of Dallas, OR; grandchildren, Jennifer Marr (Justin) of Victoria, Mark Mueller of Victoria, Melissa Mueller of Driftwood, TX, Matthew Mueller (Jessie) of Troy, TX; great-grandchildren, Katlyn Marr, Garrett Marr and Wyatt Mueller and sister-in-law, Lillian Barath (Joe) of Pearland, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter A. Mueller; brothers, Herbert Barsch, Eugene Barsch and sister, Ester Levy.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 4-6 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. (Mask and Social Distancing are required)
Funeral services are Friday, September 25, 2020 at 2 PM at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church with Rev. John Waak officiating. (Mask and social distancing is required) A private family burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Matthew Mueller, Mark Mueller, Garrett Marr, Justin Marr, Steve Fiedler and Dale Hoffman.
Honorary pallbearers are Jennifer Marr, Melissa Mueller, Jessie Mueller, Katlynn Marr, Wyatt Mueller, and Scott Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church or Hospice of South Texas.
