Dorothy Roell Gloor, 83, of Victoria, passed away June 29, 2013. She was born in Victoria, Texas on August 20, 1929 to the late Karl F. and Augusta V. Malkowsky Roell. Dorothy worked for the City of Victoria for many years and married Price L. Gloor April 1951. They loved dancing and were members of several dance clubs. They also took up gardening. Price tended the garden and Dorothy did the canning. For the last couple of years Dorothy enjoyed composing rhymes for her answering machine. Many people enjoyed them and gave them a chuckle.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Louise Bierley of Victoria; brother, Henry A. Roell of Victoria; eight nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Price L. Gloor; brothers, Karl A. and Kenneth Roell and sister, Joyce Williamson and two nieces Melanie Drexler and Edie Bierley Jahn.
The family will receive friends, Monday, July 1, 2013, from 5 to 6 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Graveside services will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Kathryn Morton officiating.
