Dorothy L. Gannon, 89, of Victoria passed away July 1, 2012. She was born in Victoria on February 6, 1923, to the late Alfred E. and Lydia Eggert Lamprecht. Dorothy married Clarence Earl Gannon who preceded her in death in August of 1980. Dorothy worked as the DeWitt County Auditor from which she retired. She was a very private person and a accomplished business woman who paid attention to detail. She was very caring toward small animals, especially birds in which she always stated “they have stomachs too”. She had a deep belief in God and was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Gannon is preceded in death by a brother Edward Ray Lamprecht.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 5, 2012, from 6 to 8 pmM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Graveside services will be held Friday July 6, 2012, at 10 am from the Memory Gardens Cemetery with Don Angerstein officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Richard Sawyers and Dr. Mehan Nezhad.
