Delia Esquivel

Delia Esquivel, 82, of Victoria passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011. She was born May 24, 1929, in Cuba to the late Andres and Flor Lissabet Hernandez. She was a professional seamstress and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.

Survivors include her sisters, Norma (Roberto) Rodriguez of Victoria and Edith Gonzalez of Miami, Florida; brothers, Armando Hernandez of Puerto Rico and Oscar Hernandez of Cuba; niece, Norma Regueira and husband, Dr. Felix Regueira of Victoria.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday, September 23, 2011, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be at 9:00 am Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Rev. Stan DeBoe. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Felix Regueira, Roberto Rodriguez and Ivan Regueira.

Honorary pallbearers will be Armando Hernandez, Oscar Hernandez, David Richards, Manuel Castro, Kelly Regueira, Belinda Castro and Dr. Michael Ormazabal.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of South Texas, 605 E. Locust, Victoria, Texas, 77901.
