Debra Ann Vogt, of Victoria, began her trip to Heaven on July 18, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 67 years old. Debra was born in Amarillo, Texas on July 9, 1956, to Howard and Isabella (Schaeffer) Jones. Her father was in the Air Force and Debra traveled extensively with her family while growing up. On October 12, 1990, she married George Vogt, of Victoria, TX. They were blessed with 32 years of marriage. Debra is survived by her devoted husband, her two sons, Ethan James Vogt and Robert Joseph Hardy, both of Victoria, sisters Bonnie Rose and Beth Whitman, brother Howard Jones, Jr., all of Mississippi, sister-in-law Beverly Felton of Victoria, nieces and nephews, and loving canine daughter, Bella. She was preceded in death by grandparents, parents, infant sister Gail Francis Jones, and brother-in-law Charles Whitman and Roger Felton.
Debra endured much pain throughout her struggle but remained a strong anchor to hold her loved ones together as they felt they were falling to pieces. There never was a stronger, braver woman.
Debra was recently retired and worked at Kurtz Printing for well over 25 years. There she developed special bonds with all of her co-workers. She mostly enjoyed spending her time spoiling all of her loved ones with endless kindness. She loved camping, gardening, going to estate sales, and painting signs and figurines to decorate her home and garden. She loved to walk her faithful companion Bella and stop to speak with all of her wonderful neighbors. She will be tremendously missed by all who love her until our paths are rejoined.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date after her family has had some time to somewhat recover from the loss of their beautiful, precious Debra. We will be together again, sweetheart. You are eternally loved.
