David M. Guajardo

David achieved a distinguished 25-year career in law enforcement serving the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

David is survived by his wife of 18 years, Brenda Reyes Guajardo, his son Nathaniel David Guajardo, his mother Felice Garcia Guajardo and his sister Veronica Guajardo Tanner and husband Tommy Tanner and his nephews Erik Don Hernandez of Dallas, TX and Eryn David Hernandez of San Antonio, TX.

David was preceded in death by his father, Manual G. Guajardo and his sister Monica Lynn Guajardo Spence.

The Devine Mercy will be recited on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 5:00 P.M. followed by the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, 3304 Mockingbird Lane, in Victoria. The Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Victoria, TX. Fr. Stan DeBoe presiding. Burial with honors provided by the TDCJ Honor Guard will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Victoria, TX at 1009 Mockingbird Lane.

David was a gentle giant, honest, Salt of the earth - a man of few words, a man of great faith, a devoted Catholic, a Son, Husband, Father, Brother and great provider and a loyal friend to so many. He was an active member of the A.C.T.S. Retreat Community and deeply committed to helping aspiring athletes and kids throughout the community. David was a Cancer survivor of 37 years. He will be greatly missed…
