Bruce Lloyd Billstein

Bruce Lloyd Billstein, 72, of Victoria, passed away February 5, 2024. Bruce was born on September 20, 1951 in Victoria to the late Mary “Martha” Martin and Lloyd “Billy” Billstein. Bruce received his Master’s in Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. He was a Pastor for churches in El Campo, Coletoville and Walburg, Texas. He also received his teaching degree from Texas A&M Kingsville, TX.

Throughout Bruce’s life he led Boy Scouts, volunteered at Christ’s Kitchen in Victoria and served as a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He enjoyed outdoor activities including camping and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Bruce is survived by his daughters, Hannah Hunn, Naomi Wilson; brothers, Brian and Brent Billstein; sister, Brenda Ballard and his grandchildren, Mason J. Hunn, Luke C. Wilson, Aidan Billstein and Noah Billstein.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Daniel Lloyd Billstein.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 at 2 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.

Memorial donations may be made in Bruce’s memory to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
