Billy Joe “B. J.” Bryant, age 79, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011. He was born June 21, 1932 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Allen Henry and Nellie Agnes Reichert Bryant. He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Victoria Masonic Lodge #40 and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He founded Camper City in 1971 and worked there until he retired in 1993.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Genevieve Bryant; daughters, Billie Migl of Victoria and Sharon Horadam and husband Luther of Inez; son, Marvin Bryant of Victoria; sister-in-law, Dolly Bryant of Cloverdale, NC; granddaughters, Katy Pesek and husband Colter of Houston, and Brittany Migl of Victoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walter Bryant, Leroy Bryant, Delbert Bryant, and Wilbur Dale Bryant; and sister, Marie Curbello.
The Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Chaplain Lyman Mereness officiating. Masonic graveside services and burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Colter Pesek, Luther Horadam Jr., Paul Horadam, and John Pesnell. Honorary pallbearers include the Mall Walkers, Rusty and Liz Griffith and Eldon Gearhart.
