Betty Jean Weitz Schneider

Betty Jean Weitz Schneider, 82, of Victoria went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2015. She was born to Frank and Elvira Weitz on January 7, 1933. Betty married Alfred, the love of her life on June 14, 1954. They were happily married until he passed away in 1980. Betty retired after a long career as an operator for Southwestern Bell.

Betty’s first love was God. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic church and Disciples of the Journey Prayer Group. Her last message to all was, “Seek his divine mercy and you will live in heaven with God forever and ever.”

Betty is survived by sister, Lullia Mae Mueller (Herbert); brothers, Robert (Beverly), Gerald, Tom, Herb (Karen), Ronnie (Cindy), and Mark; and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by husband, Alfred Schneider; parents, Frank and Elvira Weitz; siblings, Rosalie Hoser and Royce Weitz.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Rosewood Funeral Home beginning at

6:00 PM. A Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church on July 1, 2015. Following Burial at Resurrection Cemetery will be a reception at the church.

Pallbearers are Mike Mueller, Gary Mueller, Justin Mueller, John Mueller, Bo Trevino, Doyle Weitz, John Weitz, and Jarod Weitz. Honorary Pallbearers are Charlie Barker, James Mueller, Chris Manka, Jonathan Manka, Andrew Trevino, and George Beltran.
