Bernice P. Vogt

Bernice was born April 15, 1921, to the late Herman and Louisa Schaar Dietzel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Vogt, her son, Herbert B. Vogt, her sister, Delphine Wieland, and her brother, Christian Dietzel.

Bernice was a retired rancher and owned and managed Vogt's Electronics for over 50 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was involved with the Ladies Aid and a member of the Hermann Sons DaCosta Lodge. Bernice and her late husband, Herbert were active in the Model A Antique Car Club. She found great joy in spending time with family & friends and traveling!

Bernice is survived by two daughters, Patricia Holton of Houston; and Barbara Whitfield of Victoria; four grandchildren, Kathryn Whitfield, Kevin Holton and wife Penny Holton, Shannon Holloway and husband Brian Holloway, and Jason Vogt; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Holton, Kailee Issa, Baylor Holloway, Joel Vogt and Leitan Vogt.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 24th, from 3 to 5 pm, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, 3304 Mockingbird Lane, Victoria, Texas, 77904. Funeral services will be Monday, September 25, 2017, at 10 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 106 N. DeLeon at Forrest, Victoria, Texas, 77901, with Rev. Barney Matocha officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of the usual remembrances, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Holton, Jason Vogt, Tyler Holton, Billy Bauer, Richard Zapata, and Michael Urban. Honorary pallbearers are Allan Dearman and Dennis Dietzel.
