Barton Pierce Young, born on August 26, 1975, in Bay City, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, at the age of 49. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, father, and "PoPo" whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.
Bart was a graduate of Tidehaven High School and went on to become an operations manager for Sparklight. He dedicated his career to helping others far exceeding his job role in order to make a significant impact on the lives of many.
An avid fisherman, Bart loved spending quality time in nature with his wife Lucy Young. He was also a passionate supporter of this nation and was a living example of the American dream. His quick witted humour and generous spirit will be deeply missed by his loved ones.
Bart is survived by his mother and father figure, Patricia Williams and Rick Folsom; his wife, Lucy Young, for whom he was married to for almost 30 years; his sister, Marcy Craft and his brother, Wes Young. Bart's children include: Breeana Duron, Chloe Young, Luke Arreguin, Eric Arreguin, and Jacob Arreguin; his grandchildren include: Riley Duron, Jeffery Kujawa, Caledon Rogers, Arwyn Arreguin, Basilisa Arreguin, Alice Arreguin, Claire McCullough, Willie Arreguin, Jane Arreguin, Theodore McCullough, Prudence Arreguin and Atticus Arreguin.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Wesley Young III; and brother-in-law, Frank Craft.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th, 2025, at Colonial Funeral Home from 5PM to 8PM, where friends and family are invited to share their stories and honor his memory. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 18th, 2025 starting at 2PM.
Bart Young will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his love for life, and the joy he brought to those around him. May he rest in peace.
