Sue enjoyed being a mother and dedicated herself to the upbringing of her three children, Stephanie, Joe and Shawn. Sue was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was passionate about family time. Holiday traditions, particularly her Christmas Baking Day was everyone’s favorite. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and canning her fresh vegetables. Sue was a fixture in the Bloomington community as well as the Bloomington First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Joe W. Coffey of 57 years; children Stephanie Ward (Kevin) of Van Vleck, Joe Coffey (Tammy) of Victoria, Shawn Little (Kevin) of New Braunfels; sister Joys Baird of Carmine; brother Olin Linke of Plano; seven grandchildren Landen Ward (Abby), Caden Ward, Katelynn Schiffbauer (Reid), Kaleb Coffey (Brooke), Haylie Speed (Austin), Dawson White and Dillon Horadam and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Adolph and Violet Linke, sister Debbie Corliss and brother Leonard Linke.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Tuesday the 3rd of September beginning at 10 am with a service to begin at 11 am at the First Baptist Church, 68 Leonard Ave S. Bloomington with Pastor Chris Cunningham officiating. Following the reception, burial will be at the Crescent Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. Coffey’s seven grandsons will honor their Nana by serving as pallbearers.
