Aaron was born July 30, 1935 to James W. and Agnes B. Starks in Old Ocean, TX. He was a Texas boy that met a Michigan girl in Tupelo, MS at Pentecostal Bible Institute. They lived their 65 years together in Texas spending their summers in Michigan. He was a businessman, part owner of Arthur Brothers, Inc. and part owner of Wicker Hills Golf Course in Hale, Michigan. He was a church leader at Koinonia and Faith Family in Victoria and Faith Temple in Corpus Christi. He was an expert builder, building 7 personal homes, many other homes, churches, porches and beautiful furniture. He loved his family, gospel music, playing golf, and snow skiing. Although he will be greatly missed here on earth we look forward to a great meeting in the sky.
Aaron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife Blanche, children Judy (Mike) Stuckey, Melinda (Quinn) Gleinser, Mark (Darlene) Starks, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brothers James (Betty) Starks, Samuel (Jean) Starks and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins…”FAMILY”
He is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, brothers Kenneth and Borden Allen, sisters Ruth Jones and Esther Evans.
Aaron was member of Faith Family Church in Victoria, TX. He received the Lord in his life at an early age and throughout his life pointed others to Christ, always preaching to his children, grand-children and anyone that would listen. The three Keys to Success #1 Respect of Authority (God, parents, pastors, teachers, police and bosses) #2 Forgive Always “It doesn’t help them it helps you” #3 Be Thankful, always live with a thankful heart. He wrote a book at the urging of his family in 2013 “I Learned to Pray” which speaks to his life of developing that personal relationship with Christ and the importance of Prayer.
Visitation will be held Friday August 27, 2021 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, 3304 E Mockingbird Ln, Victoria, TX from 5-7 pm, Funeral Services will be held August 28, 2021 at Faith Family Church, 2202 E Mockingbird Ln, Victoria, TX at 1 pm. Interment will follow service at Memory Gardens, 8819 US-87, Victoria TX.
