He was a proud member of the Fighting Stingarees Class of 2000, and a captain of the football team. As a starting offensive tackle he helped the Stings win three district championships. He later joined another winning team, the U.S. Navy, in which he courageously served his country for five years. After his return to Victoria, he earned a Bachelor’s degree from UHV.
Aaron had a very big heart, filled with affection for Jesus, his family, and a multitude of friends. He loved to play sports, to laugh and to discuss politics, philosophy, and above all, his favorite super-hero, Jesus Christ. But in all this world, he loved no one more than his son, Jameson Walker Nance, with whom he shared many days of happiness, hilarity, and love.
He is survived by Jameson and Jameson’s mother, Kori Rosalis; parents, Karen and Ralph Nance; siblings, Nathan Nance and Abby McReynolds (Danny); grandparents, Joan and Edward Schumann of Bay City; his niece and nephew, Zoe and Luke McReynolds; his uncles James (June) and William (Edith) Nance, Dennis Schumann (Diane) and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11 am at Parkway Church.
