William (Bill) Allan Blake passed away peacefully January 31, 2018 at the age of 88. He was born in Medicine Hat June 2, 1929 and grew up in Vancouver, BC where he attended King George High School. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan, of 57 years and is survived by his five children, Cindy (Wayne), Laural (Roy), Kathryn (Bruce), Douglas (Shirley) and Michael, 10 grandchildren, and his brother Laurie (Iris). Bill worked for the Federal Government for 30+ years as a flight service specialist/radio operator and weatherman. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing and was a HAM radio operator (VE7BBU).Those who knew him appreciated his quiet dry humour and wit...he will be missed. Memorial service will be Saturday, June 2nd @11 am at First Memorial on Fort Street, Victoria.
