Loving husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves behind his wife of 74 years, Gloria; his daughters, Debbie and Brenda; son, Gordon (Lorraine); granddaughters, Alexis (Robin), Carolyn, and Amara (Scott); and sister, Margaret.
Bob was predeceased by his infant son, Joseph; parents, Delia and Chester Miller; sisters, Eileen, Joan, and Shirley; and brothers, Lloyd, Jim, Dale, and Don.
At 17 ½ years old, Bob joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and was deployed overseas as a flight instructor during World War II. After the war, Bob studied at the University of British Columbia, where he graduated as a Forest Engineer. He worked on Vancouver Island for MacMillan Bloedel for the duration of his career.
Bob was so proud of his family, and he adored his three granddaughters. Golfing with his buddies was high on his list too. He will be remembered for his gentle nature and quick sense of humour.
A funeral, starting with mass officiated by Father Mark Miller, will be held on Thursday, January 4th, 2024, at 11:30 am at First Memorial Chapel, 1155 Fort Street, Victoria.
