Condolences on your loss. We met Ralph when he joined the bowling club. 
My husband came from the village Elfros, Sask.  There was a teacher there named Chilton, apparently he was related to Ralph, I think he was Ralph's uncle.
At the bowling club enjoyed the home baked cookies that Ralph brought for teatime.

I worked at HMC Dockyard from 1969 to 1972 and had the good fortune to work alongside Ralph on a number of occasions.  We were in Building 141 and it was a time of good friends and great conversations.  I didn't have a personal friendship but knew him as a co-worker.  I think I remember him most as one of the few that carried a "lunch-bucket".

I thought the Family might want to know that he was well known and respected in his work environment; that part of a man's life that doesn't usually make it out of the workplace.
He helped make the workday one of the good times!

Uncle Ralph was friendly, caring and always engaging.   I remember with great fondness our family trip to visit Aunt Ruth and Uncle Ralph and their family many years ago; their reciprocal visits out east; and another trip out west a few years ago.  Even though there were many miles and years between us, Uncle Ralph's warmth always made you feel close and important. Rest in Peace Uncle Ralph.

Ralph was my dear friend's lovely father, he had a warm loving demeanor and a beautiful smile.     I will be making a donation to the SPCA in Ralph's name, honoring his love of animals.
