November 14, 1929 – December 8, 2015
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Peggy at 86 years of age; a devoted wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her. Peggy was born in Saskatoon, Sask. and moved to Victoria at the young age of 16, where she worked for over 40 years with Eaton’s. She was also a well-known entertainer, singing at various venues around town, with such bands as Fred Usher and the Hometowners, the Andy Anderson Trio and Charlie Hunt and Orchestra. Peggy will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and was quick to share a joke with everyone she met.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband Don of 57 years, her daughters Sandy (Jim) and Michele, several relatives, and many close friends that she considered family.
We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and volunteers at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital who took care of Mom during her final days with us.
No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Cheers, Mom; we will miss you and love you lots.
Arrangements under the direction of First Memorial Funeral Services, Victoria, BC.
