Mary Margaret (Skoreyko) Burt

She will be lovingly remembered by sister, Olga; brother-in-law, Ian; nieces and nephews; Sharon (Gordon), Terry, Kathy (Greg), Ken (Jane), Brent (Paulette), Graham (Allison), Linda and Susan (Rick) and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Mary was pre-deceased by her husband, Jack; her parents, Metro and Anne; her sister, Sylvia and brothers-in-law, Milton and Ken.

Mary was born in Smoky Lake, AB and started her career with the City of Edmonton. Her life with Jack took them to Calgary, Penticton and finally Victoria where they resided for over 4 decades.

Respecting Mary’s wishes, no memorial service will be held, and flowers are gratefully declined. Mary’s family is eternally grateful to the staff at the Royal Jubilee Hospital and the Victoria General Hospital for their kindness and caring.

Although Mary did not have children of her own, she will be remembered by nieces, nephews and many other children (and a few adults) as a consummate “mother hen”, generous with her love, attention, food and advice.

Mary bids a fond farewell to her dear family and many friends.
