Her children Nancy (Mark), John (Marvella), Jennifer (Stacy) and grand-children Andrea, Kaitlin (Eric), Alex and Amanda are grateful for her unconditional love and support.
Born and raised in London, Ontario, Marjorie was the daughter of George and Elsie Wood and sister to Marilyn, Terry and John. She moved to Calgary where she started her family (Nancy and John) with former husband Charles (Chuck) Bain. They moved to Victoria, where they had daughter, Jennifer.
Marjorie will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful woman whose warmth and humour touched all who knew her. She found joy in watercolor painting, witnessing the antics of silly dogs, long drives along the ocean and finding vintage treasures.
Marjorie would always take the time to appreciate the little things be it a detail on some artwork, a beautiful skyline or a decadent dessert - particularly chocolate.
Marjorie was a dedicated member and volunteer for Oak Bay United Church. She took great pleasure in taking care of the houseware section for the weekly Thrift sale and looked forward to socializing with her friends afterwards.
Marjorie's legacy also will live on in the many paintings she created and shared with her family.
She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Her family sends their gratitude to all the staff at the Kiwanis Pavilion in Units 1B and 1C for their wonderful care and compassion for Marjorie.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either the Alzheimer’s Society of BC or the Victoria SPCA.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Arrangements by First Memorial.
