Marilyn loved reading, history and watching Foyles War on T.V. in her last years. She loved reading history and taught at Quamichan School in Duncan before devoting her life to her husband Rod, and their 3 children; Paul, Peter and Margo.
Marilyn loved children and was thrilled to see young families out for walks in Oak Bay Village. She was very proud of her high school, Vic High. She was a brilliant student at Vic High and Victoria College and graduated from the University of Victoria in its first year of affiliation with U.B.C.
Marilyn loved gardening, blue skies, birds in the back yard and going for ice cream after a ride around the Dallas waterfront. She also loved to travel and she and Rod had many fabulous trips together to Europe and Asia before children and after they left "the nest". She was a talented ballerina and performed at Theatre Under The Stars when she was 12 years old before hip surgery ended that activity.
Her love and caring will never be forgotten. A devoted mother of three she is survived by her husband, Rod and Paul, Peter and Margo, her younger sister, Suzanne and six grandchildren.
