We are saddened to announce that Lorna McLeod has passed away. She died peacefully on July 30, 2017 with her family by her side. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 61 years Don, sons Scot (Kari), Dave (Joan) and daughter Nancy (Ian Henderson). Her seven grandchildren were loved dearly and each was a source of great pride: Bret (Alie, Grace and Henry), Kurt (Samantha), Matt (Leah), Andrew, Doug, Brianne and Scott. She was thrilled to have two great-grandchildren Grace and Henry. Her family was so important to her. She is also survived by her sister Jean Anderson of Regina, SK, as well as several brother- and sister-in-laws; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Raised in Saskatchewan, Lorna moved to Qualicum Beach, BC in 1987 when Don retired from Saskatchewan Power. They developed many special friendships and were very involved at St Columba Presbyterian Church. In 2010, they relocated to Berwick Royal Oak in Victoria. Lorna was such a sweet, gracious, loving, intelligent and witty lady. Her sense of humour stayed with her to the end.
All of us were very appreciative of the wonderful care she received from Sidney Care Home and more recently the Lodge at Broadmead.
There will be a Celebration of her Life on Saturday, August 26, 2017 @ 2 pm at the First Memorial Chapel on Falaise Drive.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Parkinson’s Society of BC.
Arrangements under the direction of First Memorial Funeral Services, Victoria, BC.
