The Boot Scoot Boogie just came on the radio and I felt Jo's presence.

I was instantly transported back to her belting out this song, with that familiar sparkle in her eyes!  

I was shocked to see that she had passed. My sincere, but late, condolences to Hollie, Meg and families. 

This photo was taken of us in August of 1991.  (I'm not sure of the year we met, but Megan was about one and a half, and Hollie was about 6)  
She was SO proud of her beautiful girls! 

At that time, little Meg liked to scamper up on the kitchen table. Jo was always close by and while carrying her down, she'd laugh and say:  
Get off the table, Mable!  

Although I haven't seen Jo in years, this and other memories will always remind me of her beautiful spirit! ♥️

I first met Joanne when she was working at a small stationary store on e. hastings..it was just down the street from London drugs..we just kinda clicked.. and we became good casual friends..at one point living across the street from me, we shared a lot of good laughs.. she became auntie jo to my daughter..of whom sends her many condolences and much sympathy..I was greatly saddened to hear of this news..she is and will be majorly missed..no words can explain how much..the joy jo brought to everyone was over and beyond..much love to the family. our memories live on forever. nothing can take those away from us. heaven has gained an angel to watch over us all. watch for the signs of when she is with you. feathers butterflies pennies..and your dreams. you'll feel her presence. talk to her. love you girls..take care. xoxo


Dear Holly and Meaghan, I was very sad to hear of your moms passing. I worked with Jo-Anne at Londondrugs for many years. She was so much fun and we always had a good laugh together. She will be missed by all her knew her. I’m sure you both will miss her dearly. Gone but never forgotten. My deepest condolences to both of you and your families.   Take care, Nadia Marelic
