Helen Margaret “Peggy” Nelson, 92 passed away surrounded by her family on Friday March 26, 2021. Peggy was born and raised in Sydney, NSW, Australia, where she became a nurse before immigrating to Canada in 1956.
Peggy was the beloved wife of Edward (Ted) Nelson, loving mother of Rani (Dave), Christine (Robert), David (Debbie), and Marea, Nana to 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and Aunty/Cousin to endless family in Australia.
Through her volunteer work with Marigold Elementary School, Spectrum Community School, Camp Columbia on Thetis Island, and St Mary’s Anglican Metchosin Church she made an incredible impact on so many lives.
Our family truly Appreciates all the staff at Selkirk Senior Village who has made the past year of her life special.
At a later date there will be a celebration of her life.
