Have wonderful memories of Aunt Heidi starting when I was 5 and flower girl at her and Jacks wedding along with Pam. Have stayed close during the years with lots of phone calls and visits when we could.Heidi and Lena even visited us in Toronto and Richmond Va when Lena was in her 90’s and Heidi not far behind.  Lots of fun and laughs.  Heidi is on my voicemail just two days  before she died. We   Were both Blue Jay fans and she liked to talk about what happened in the game.    She was  so good to our Dad (her brother Bill) especially when he moved to Victoria and we were very Grateful. Much love to all the family from Diane and Lyall and the rest of the Limacher family

Beautiful memory of a wonderful day in our backyard.  Four generations of women in our family, as we celebrated mom on her birthday!

Heidi was such a natural ambassador and friend; there was always an infectious smile and meaningful voice. She was the 'Welcoming Neighbour' back in '62 when our family moved to Victoria from Vancouver >Heidi introduced Mum to 'The Sewing Girls' >all fairly new to the city from Nelson< and they continued to meet, once a month, for well over 50 years. She and Mum (Jean) shared 1923 as year of birth, shared some of life's good times and hard times, then enjoyed their final years as neighbours at Berwick ... was heartened and 'blown away' when she instantly knew my name as we met in the hall or lobby after all these years. Condolences to the Family of your quality, genuine, diverse, caring personality... always to be remembered.

I'm was sorry to hear  of Heidi's passing but it's hard for me not to smile as my memories of her flood back to me. She was a great friend to my Mom (Helen  Forbes) and our family for years going back to our living  in Nelson, her infectious humor and laughter always made me smile.  My condolences goes out to the family and close friends.  She will be remembered fondly for the time she was with us. 

Heidi and Jack were friends with my Mom and Dad and when I was young coming to Victoria, we usually always visited. I was recently back in Nelson and visited an old friend, Mike Laughton.  He was a former NHL payer and World Hockey.  I mentioned Heidi's passing and he said early in his career he took figure skating and use to go to the Civic Centre in Nelson at 5 am to practise.  He said he always ran into Jack at the arena.  Later he was drafted by the Victoria General {about 1967) and again he was in contact with both Jack and Heidi and they made his start of his professional career a positive experience.  Both Jack and Heidi are well remembered for their kindness and welcoming manner.

I am feeling very sad to hear of the loss of Heidi. She was a very strong lady which my family grew up with. Heidi was best friends with my mother (Helen Forbes) whom we lost in July 2012. I remember many of parties in the basement of the home I grew up in.  She was a big part of my mothers life & my life growing up.  I always loved hearing about the trips her & Mom took over the years.  My thoughts are with her family today 😢.

We are deeply sorry to learn of Heidi's passing.  She was a loving mother to Howard and Marilyn and a devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren.  Always so much fun to be around, her vibrant and positive energy coupled with a great sense of humor was transferred to anyone in her presence.  Heidi was a very smart lady with a ferociously quick wit.  She contributed to all conversations, usually with a great comeback to the comments of others.
We have many fond memories of our times with Heidi, especially those at Lago Lindo, Incline Village, day trips to Tijuana (to shop for western boots) and at our home.  We looked forward to seeing those Christmas sweaters!
Heidi loved her fish 'n chips, Walker's Shortbread and anything 
labled "Purdy's".  She was an avid sports fan with the Canucks and BlueJays being here favorite teams.
We are so fortunate to have known Heidi and enjoyed our visits 
with her for almost sixty years.  She lived a long life and an amazing life!  We extend our love to Heidi and to the family.


Heidi was such a special and darling woman.  My mother, Glenna, who was close to her age always enjoyed visiting with her when she was in San Diego.  I have a lot of memories of Heidi.  Howard and I were working with Dow Chemical outside of Zurich, Switzerland and Howard brought Heidi along.  She had so much fun and never missed a beat always game for anything Howard wanted to do.  I can still hear her saying, "Oh, Howard!"  Howard, you were a remarkably devoted son always making sure your mother's life was working.  Patrice, she thought of you as a daughter, which you were in spirit.  The two of you enriched her life beyond all measure including her in all holiday and family events.  She loved to be around the table and was never shy about expressing herself.  She laughed and loved easily.  She lived a remarkable life with a continual sense of gratitude.  She will always be remembered.  

We loved Heidi!! Our hearts go out to the family . 

Our favorite story is when Heidi came to a dinner party and had a little too much fun. She unfortunately got sick over the balcony in our friends new home. She was an awesome party animal - even in her 80’s!! 

A great loss! Aunt Heidi was always a treat to be with...full of energy and fun. Flirtatious banter was often part of our repertoire leading to much laughter.

When I was 15 Heidi visited and brought me a white denim bomber jacket. I felt so cool and wore it all the time. The best gift ever! 
Loved her and miss her dearly. 

I will never forget Heidi and what a joy it was to be around her. I will miss her vibrant spirit and endless positivity very much. Though our Thanksgiving dinners will not be the same without her, her memory will always shine on, and it is comforting to know that she will always be there with us and watching over us. 

Sweet Heidi was always a fun part of Tyler's family and honorary grandma. She was always fun to talk with and it was amazing how much she had to offer and loved to listen to new stories as well. Tyler and I were lucky enough to have her represent our grandparents at our wedding and we will always have wonderful memories of the  good times with Heidi. Rest in peace sweet Heidi.

it is with greatest sadness to hear about the passing of Beautiful Heidi. We are at a loss of words and feel so sad. 
She was such a wonderful and special person, always full of life, energy, a great sense of humour and an amazing spirit. 
Heidi has touched so many lives in such a beautiful way and we all shall remember her during her visits to Switzerland and treasure all those precious memories. 
Personally, I have also enjoyed the phone calls from overseas and always felt loved and supported by Heidi's kind words.

Heidi was always a shining ray of light and kindness. No matter where you were, if Heidi was there it would be a warmer and happier place. She will be with us always, and always loved.

The year was  2012. Heidi was deep into her 80’s….suffering from  arthritis, but spry nevertheless, always spry and joyful and positive. Somehow she agreed to undertake a series of cyro treatments in a special chamber in the Austrian style resort of Sparking  Hills in the Okanagan in British Columbia. In this, she endured the temperature of the moon ….something like minus 130°. Twice a day for 5 days no less. Most people don’t last for one session, but she did 10 with bravery and positivity and humor…oh yes, always with humor. Each day after her second daily treatment we would gather, her and Shelley and Patrice and I for a celebratory sip…or two. On the fifth afternoon she arrived after her last treatment…she tossed me her cane and literally did a jig. Success. Was it the cold she’d endured or her admirable positivity….I don’t know or care. You see, she was my hero and inspiration either way. God bless Heidi. 

We have visited Heidi for a few years and our visits were always appreciated. We had great visits with her. She was always happy and joking with us as she had a great sense of humour. 
She had a complete love for her church and encouraged others to get involved with church  activities.
She accepted that her mobility was failing, so she helped by phoning church members with reminders of events.
She never gave up. We visited her five days before she left to be with God. She was in good spirits, laughing and joking. She asked us if we knew of a hall to rent for her 100 th  birthday  celebration. 
We had 2 halls in mind, but before we could get the phone numbers,
she was gone to be with her God. She couldn’t wait until the end of 
May 2023. Heidi was a joy to visit.  May she Rest In Peace 



Heidi will always hold a special place in my heart. So many great memories of her at Christmas time, she helped keep the Christmas spirit strong in our family. I loved our chats about life, Vancouver sports and all things Canada. Heidi was an amazing woman and set the bar high for how to treat people and age gracefully. I will miss my honorary grandma dearly and love her very much!

Family Christmases are forever changed.  Heidi drew everyone effortlessly into her orbit with her humour and her kindness.  

I will always remember Heidi,  
Glen ( who we also lost this year) and his brother Gary;  heads together, deep into a marathon conversation - each battling to get their point across as they all tried to dominate the conversation.
Heidi, we will miss you.  It truly is the end of a era.

Heidi was amazing- and I was blessed to have her as my second Mom (aka mother-in-law) She embraced life, had a great sense of fun and was a grandma- and 4th sister (over a bottle of tequila) -to my family. 

I miss you dear Heidi- as does everyone who knew you. Wish we had culminated our plans for your 100th❤️
