We who loved her and love her still will forever hold her in our hearts.
Heather was born and grew up in Victoria, B.C., the youngest child of a large happy family. She attended Shelbourne Elementary, Cedar Hill, and Mount Douglas High School. Heather realized very early in her life that she wanted to be a hair dresser, a career goal she pursued, achieved, and which suited her perfectly. Her artistic ability and her capacity to connect with all people were the gifts she brought to her profession and to her life.
Her kindness and generosity of spirit enriched everyone who was near to her. So many people who started out as hair clients or acquaintances became her close and cherished friends; and they in turn cherished her as part of their families.
Heather created a safe space for everyone who entered her life; she was an inspiration to those around her. Heather made her home into an oasis of love and security, not only for her own children, but for many other children and young adults who came to her, knowing there would always be a square meal when they needed it, a motherly hug, good advice, and unconditional love waiting for them.
Heather is survived by her loving children, Isaac and Chanel, by her siblings, by her extended family and by a multitude of friends.
To love Heather and be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
A celebration of life will be held for Heather – Please reach out to the family before April 20, 2022 for details.
