Effie Cook (Kalas) passed away in Victoria with her family by her side July 6, 2016. Effie was born in Vrangiana, Greece on May 10th, 1943. She came to Canada in 1952. She married Geoffrey Cook in 1969. They came to Victoria in 1973. Their son Leonard was born in 1976. Effie recently retired from Sears. Predeceased by her beloved husband Geoffrey and her parents, she will be lovingly remembered by her son, Leonard (Jenn), Grandchildren Geoffrey and Eleanor, Sisters, extended family and many friends.
A Celebration of Effie's life will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services Chapel, 1155 Fort Street, Victoria on Wednesday July 13, 2016 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation
