Doris will be lovingly missed by her husband Jim of 31 years, her children Carl Henry (Debby), Gary Henry and Glenn Henry (Teresa) as well as Jim’s children, Christine Haskell (Max), James Humphreys, and Tamae Dempsey. Grandchildren Sarah, Shannon (Steve), Victoria, Zachary (Amanda), Joshua, Shaun, Micayla, Sheri, Michael, Chad, Amy, Melissa (Darren), Morgan, and many great grandchildren. Doris was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Mary Crossett and her brother Robert Crossett. She is survived by her brothers Ivan Crossett (Irene), Fred Crossett (Dale), and sister Ray McNichol, sister-in-law Betty Crossett, and many nieces and nephews. Doris was a long-time volunteer at the Salvation Army in Victoria BC and a member of the Victoria Golden Rods and Reels Association. Doris worked many years at the Woodward’s and Eaton’s Dining rooms at Mayfair Mall.
Doris chose to leave this life on her own terms. She enjoyed the visits and calls from her family and friends during the past couple of years. She will be missed terribly and remembered with love. May she have a hot cuppa waiting for her in heaven.
Cremation has taken place arranged by First Memorial Funeral Services, Victoria, BC. Donations in Doris’ memory may be made to The Salvation Army, Victoria.
