After graduating from the University of Alberta in his early twenties, Don briefly moved to B.C. for a stint before returning to Edmonton to establish his career. After retirement, he returned as quickly as he could to the coast, moving to Victoria B.C. where he spent the rest of his life.
Don was a fiercely independent and private man. He did not suffer fools easily and preferred his own company to that of most other human beings on the planet. He was passionate about many things in life and without fail adhered to his own innate code of right and wrong.
He possessed an enormous fondness for all types of music and was considered to be an audiophile in the purest sense. He loved the outdoors throughout his life and revelled in many types of physical activity throughout the years. In his childhood and even through his teen and adult years, Don instilled in his little brother a love for music, a love for physical activity, and a love of nature.
And in turn, Don was well loved by the very small Jeffery clan that remains. Don was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his younger brother, Dr. Glenn Jeffery, sister-in-law Frances, and his niece and nephew, Sam and Tom. A private family memorial is planned for the future.
