David Anthony Quinlan

David is survived by his loving wife and best friend Marsha Richie. His two sisters Anne Quinlan and Mairead Sattler (Henry), niece Maria Doll (Ian) and their three children, Brendan, Sophia, and Alexander, as well as numerous relatives/cousins in Ireland. Special son in law to Ben and the late Margaret Richie, and wonderful brother in law to Mike (Elsa), Karen (Harry), Elaine (Mark) and Jane (Randy), beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

David emigrated to Canada in the early 70’s and eventually settled here in Victoria in 1972.

For 40 years, David worked in the funeral profession assisting thousands of families, during their time of need, with dignity, compassion, and respect. David was very proud of his 25 years with First Memorial Funeral Services in Victoria. He will be missed greatly by his First Memorial Family.

David was a passionate and loving man who lived and enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved motorcycles, nature, camping, movies, reading, gardening, bowling, soccer and spending time with family and friends. David was loyal, with a sense of wit and humour, that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 19th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4725 Falaise Dr., Victoria, B.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be greatly appreciated to purchase life saving medical equipment for the small medical clinic in Mexico that attended to David, a website has been set up for this purpose http://www.davidspuntademitalegacy.com
