Born in Victoria on January 8th, 1967, Larry graduated from Claremont High School and went on to get his degree in Computer Science at the University of Victoria. Professionally he was known for his knowledge, innovation, and professionalism throughout his work with MacMillan Bloedel, Electronic Arts and Fujitsu Consulting where he was a valued manager.
Larry's youth was filled with action and adventure. Between basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and rugby teams, he also spent his time camping, sailing/boating and fishing. He had the great fortune to have been a fishing guide in the Discovery Islands for many years and sailed offshore with S.A.L.T.S. In later years he developed a strong interest and pride in family history.
An integral part of his life was his loyal and thoughtful care for all his family and close friends. He provided devoted help during his father's illness and had a close relationship with his stepmother. Larry was an extraordinary and loving big brother. He will be missed dearly.
Larry is predeceased by his father Chuck, mother Val, and step mother Winn. He is survived by his sister, Cheryl Martin (Chris) and numerous extended family.
A service to celebrate his life will be held later this spring. Details to be announced.
