Bryan joined the British Navy in December 1949 at the young age of 16. He re-enlisted in the Canadian Navy on June 23rd-1958 where he served with distinction until 1978 when he returned to Calgary with his wife Joan to be close to their children.
Bryan continued his career in private industry in Calgary until he relocated to Victoria. Bryan and Joan purchased The Oak Bay Guest House and ran a successful business in the hospitality industry. Joan passed away in 2009 and Bryan spent the rest of his days living quietly with his Victoria family and his dog Buster.
Bryan is predeceased by his wife Joan of 55 years. Bryan and Joan leave behind four children. Teri, Frances, Bryan and Sean. Bryan will be missed by his grandchildren David, Andrew, Daniel and Kate Runions. And Clayton and Jeff Cullen. Bryan leaves 7 great grandchildren who loved to visit their Grandy……Ayden, Lilyrose and Sienna Runions and Jack, Lila, Francis and Harold Cullen.
