Betty Jenkins

Betty passed away peacefully in Saanichton, BC on April 25th, in her 97th year. She is lovingly remembered by her family and friends who called her Aunt Betty. She joins her loving husband of 53 years (Fred), sister (Alice), brother (Jack) and parents (Olive & Jack).

Betty was born in Victoria BC. Betty often shared happy memories growing up and playing on the grounds of Hatley Castle in Colwood, where her father worked for the Dunsmuir family. Betty and Fred married and settled in Colwood, spending their spare time gardening, caring for animals, and walking the lagoon. Betty loved to bake and entertain large crowds of family and friends.

Aunt Betty requested that no service be held and instead, that you cherish and hug the ones you love in her memory. Flowers are gratefully declined. For those that wish, memorial donations can be made to Saanichton Peninsula Hospital Foundation at 2166 Mt Newton X Rd, or a charity of your choice.

Aunt Betty and her family wish to send a special thank you to Dr. A Tan and the caring and compassionate staff at Saanichton Peninsula Hospital Extended Care unit One. Your kindness and support have been above and beyond.
