Audrey Martha Hendry

After spending the afternoon surrounded by her family, Audrey quietly passed away that evening. Born in Nipawin, Sask. to (late) Lillian and Harvey Bell, she was predeceased by her sisters Norma, Gwen, Beverly and brother Keith. Audrey graduated from Nursing in 1955 and soon after marrying Ian they moved to Victoria where they raised 3 children. Audrey worked at Gorge Hospital, Matson Lodge and Douglas Care. She was as caring a nurse as she was a Mother.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Ian, children Kim (Ed), Bruce (Pina) and Shawn, 7 grandchildren (Sherri, Brandi, Brent, Kaitlyn, Angelina, Morgan and Shellsea) and 8 great-grandchildren (Avari, Chase, Cole, Karley, Codi, Brianna, Brody and Blake).

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Drs. Ian Bridger, Bruce Rebner and Gaylene Hargrove, Esquimalt Fire Dept, BCAS and VGH staff for their care and compassion.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 30 at 10:00 a.m. at First Memorial (Royal Oak). Donations can be made to Cdn Diabetes in her memory.
