Sharon Beth Monnin

Sharon Beth Monnin, age 74 of Versailles, Ohio passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 1:52 PM at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. Born in Fredricktown, Ohio on October 29, 1948 she was one of 2 children to the late Derwin “Dutch” & Norma (Garber) Shinaberry. Sharon was a graduate of Highland High School, class of 1966. After graduating, she met the love of her life, Paul, and they married on November 30, 1973. She attended St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles, Ohio. In her free time she enjoyed bird watching, especially cardinals and hummingbirds, and reading. She served as “Den Mother” for the Cub Scouts, and was an amazing stay at home Mom. She was a lot of fun, and was known as the “neighborhood Mom” as well. She loved her family, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and “shop till you drop” adventures with her children. She will be deeply missed.

Survived by her husband of 49 years, Paul Monnin; children Angie (Paul) Savage of Florida, Eric Monnin of Union City, OH, Scott Monnin (Brian Fornadel) of Columbus, OH; grandchildren Alexis (Taylor) Farrow, Sarah Savage-Brooker, Sam (Haley) Savage, Samantha Monnin, Elizabeth Monnin, “Stinger” & “Lucy;” great-grandchildren Stetson, Savannah, Kennedy, Ellanore, Emrick; brother Lynn (Lisa) Shinaberry; as well as many more extended family members and friends.

Friends may call on the family from 3:00 PM-8:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Ned Brown presiding, there will be an hour visitation prior to mass from 9-10 AM. Burial at St. Valbert Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice.
