Robert L. Grilliot

Robert L. “Bob” Grilliot, age 94, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the Versailles Health Care Center in Versailles, Ohio. He was born on April 13, 1918 in Miami County, Ohio, to the late Frank & Victoria (Simons) Grilliot.

He is survived by his children Margie & Tom Jones of Avon, Ohio, Janice Dubbs of New Madison, Ohio, Jim Grilliot of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Jeff & Kim Grilliot of Toledo, Ohio; 9 Grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Helen (Bud) Johnston of Springfield, Ohio, Freda Love of North Miami, Florida, and Lowell Grilliot of Piqua, Ohio.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Grilliot; 4 brothers; 1 sister; a grandson; son in law, Gale Dubbs.

Bob was a member of the United States Navy serving in WWII, St. Denis Catholic Church, American Legion, VFW, and Eagles all in Versailles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, Ohio, with Rev. Fr. David Vincent celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 4-7 PM and on Friday from 9:30 – 10:00 AM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio.

A military graveside service will be conducted be the Versailles Veterans Honor Guard. It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the Versailles Emergency Medical Services. Condolences for the family may be expressed through www.zecharbailey.com
