Sue was born on June 10, 1935 in Vernon, and passed away peacefully on Aug. 13 2022 in Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
She will be remembered by her children; Mike(Kathleen), Kathy(Dennis), Tom(Barb), grandchildren; Brock, Kelsey(Bohdi), Scott(Cassie), Kayla(Russ), Sam(Maggie), Rob, Alex(Chelsea), 6 great grandkids, extended family and friends.
Sue was predeceased by her parents Russ and Bel Neil, brother Bob Neil, and her husband of 59 years, Don.
Mom lived her early life in Vernon spending time at the family camp on Okanagan Lake, fishing with her dad, riding horses, swimming, and playing piano and tennis.
She graduated from St. Paul’s School of Nursing in 1956, and while there she met Don, while he was attending UBC Pharmacy School.
They lived a full, happy life together, with lots of travel, golf and bridge with friends, and took pride in watching her grandkids grow, becoming a good friend to each of them!
Her kindness, quick wit, and never ending support will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
An Open House to celebrate Sue, will be held at the Vernon Yacht Club on Saturday August 27th, between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m.
