It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Robert Allan Husband. Just a great dad, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by the love of his life Michaela to whom he was married to for 72 years, son Bob Husband (Margaret), daughter Wendy Giger (Roy), several terrific grandchildren and many great grandchildren, also, very special nieces and nephews. Allan was born in 1930 and grew up in Victoria, BC. He was an avid lacrosse player in his youth and played multiple sports. He became known as the Silver Fox in the handball leagues of Prince George for his wonderful silver hair and his prowess at the sport. He was a well-known singer with a beautiful deep voice that was unforgettable once heard. Allan and Michaela loved to dance, they had been dancing together since the 1940’s and until his knees slowed him down, Allan was always known as the smoothest guy on the floor. He worked many years for BC Hydro which took him from Victoria to Prince George and also saw him posted overseas to some incredible places. Upon his return from overseas he then moved into the position of Executive Director of the Hospital in P.G. A very interesting career he had indeed. Allan took early retirement and with Michaela moved to the Okanagan. Took a turn at a bed and breakfast establishment and then settled in Armstrong where he and Michaela remained. He will be so very missed by his family. We would like to thank the amazing staff at Pleasant Valley Manor. The equally amazing staff at Heaton Place Retirement Community. Also, the steady and comforting hand of Dr. Harper. Allan has requested no service, but he will not be forgotten by those of us who loved him so much.
