Glen Brian Robertson

February 6, 1953 - December 27, 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glen Brian Robertson, affectionately known as “Ernie”, after a three year battle with cancer.

Ernie will be remembered by all who knew him as an amazing man. He was kind, gentle and loving and opened his heart to all who knew him. He was a lover of many things, one of those being music. Ernie was a fantastic guitar player and singer. Many “jam sessions” were heard!

Ernie is survived by his companion and best friend, Laurie; her daughters, Shawna and Tanya (Shawn); and by Tanya’s son, Damien (who was Grampy’s “little buddy”); his sister, Darlene, and her children, Dannalee and Corby, and Danalee’s daughter, Tara; as well as many extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks and gratitude for Dr. Waldron, all the doctors and nurses at VJH Cancer Clinic, and the staff at Hospice House for their tremendous care and support during his illness. We will be forever grateful for your kindness and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ernie may be made to the McMurty-Baerg Cancer Clinic at Vernon Jubilee Hospital or to the North Okanagan Hospice Society.

The celebration of life will be held for Ernie on what would have been his 63rd birthday – February 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the OPP Hall in Lumby, B.C. We invite all who knew him to come celebrate Ernie’s life and share memories of him.
