Doug is survived by his parents, Art and Jean, brother Don (Annette), sisters Carole (Mo) and Barb. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 35 years, Judy, and five beautiful daughters, Renee (Wayne), Kimberly (Tyler), Kailey (Adam), Kristy (Chris), and Shannon, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Doug Excelled in his career as a lumber broker for Tolko which led to many lasting friendships in Canada and the US, but his passion was his family. Family BBQ’s by the pool were not to be missed. His happy places were his shop, riding his Harley, or getting away to his favourite campgrounds with the family.
His passing has left a hole in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. The family wishes to thank Dr. Schuch, Dr. Hardy, Dr. Cole, Dr. Mohammed and all the wonderful nurses and staff at the cancer clinic in Vernon.
A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at the family home at a later date “when the sun is shining.”
