Donna passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on January 22, 2023. She was born in Wilkie, Sask. on February 23, 1939. Donna is survived by her loving husband Robert (Bob); children Kenneth (Sherry), Shirley (Brian) and Ryan (Sherri); grandchildren Jessica (Jayson) Carson, Taylor, Morgan, Kayley and Chloe; great grandchildren Lucas and Reya.
Donna was a pioneer for professional women in healthcare having graduated from the College of Pharmacy, University of Saskatchewan in 1961. Shortly after graduation Donna married the love of her life Robert (Bob) Dick. They started their careers in Montreal then Saskatoon and they ultimately settled in Swift Current, Sask. During the 40 years in Swift Current, Bob and Donna raised their family and owned/operated Quinn’s Pharmacy. Donna enjoyed spending her summers at Mara Lake, B.C. where she made many friends and loved having family gatherings. Donna’s favorite time of year was Christmas. She was a big fan of everything Disney.
In retirement, Donna and Bob chose the Okanagan Valley and split their time between Vernon and Mara Lake. Donna and Bob enjoyed travelling especially on cruise ships. Her favorite destinations included Disney World, Barcelona, Alaska, the Panama Canal and Santorini.
Donna will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Donna was a strong, determined and independent woman. We will miss her every day. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Intensive Care Unit, Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
