David Arthur Veness

Dad left on an adventure to explore Europe after high school and returned back to Vernon with his beautiful bride Elin. Dad lived for the outdoors and waited with great anticipation each year for hunting season to begin so he could go with his lifelong friend and hunting partner Irwin (Darlene) Schmidt.

Dad worked and retired as a highly respected heavy-duty mechanic for Bloom & Siglet and Inland Kenworth. Family was everything to dad, he leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Elin. His son Nic (Cora) grandkids Haily & Curtis. His daughter Tina (Peter) grandkids Emma & Jack. His sister Sandy (Larry), brother Stephen (Lourdhina), brother-in-law Leo (Lorie), sister-in-law Inger (pre Vagn), Henning (Annalise), Predeceased by Egjil (Regina).

He is predeceased by his mom Louise, his dad Steve and his brother Don.

Dad will be missed greatly by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

At dad’s request there will be no service, but we decided not to listen to him. Please join us for a Celebration of Life at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, Saturday April 29th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
