CONSTANCE MARION COX (nee Moorbey) was born on May 1, 1916 in Carmen, Manitoba and left this world peacefully on February 2, 2013 as the Carnival balloons took to the skies over Vernon. Connie was predeceased by her husband, Murray, in 1989.
This proud mother, grandmother, great grandmother and even great-great grandmother, though tiny, leaves an enormous hole in the lives of her adoring family: daughter Beverley (Harvey) Page of Vernon and son Allan (Darlene) Cox of Minnesota; grandchildren Randy (Pam) Page of Vernon, Laurel Page of Abbotsford, Trevor (Candy) Page of Vernon, Jim (Kaari) Cox of Minnesota and Don (Karen) Cox of Illinois; great grandchildren Lindsay (Warren) Brock of Kelowna, Erin (Josh) Scott of Kelowna, Brodie (Michelle) Page of Langley, Craig Page of Kelowna, Tannis (Tyler) Page of Vernon and Benjamin Cox of Illinois; and great-great grandchildren Shay Scott and Amelia and Tessa Brock, all of Kelowna.
She will also be dearly missed by nieces and nephews in Manitoba and England, as well as countless friends, many of whom she considered family.
Connie’s life and love will be celebrated at the Knox Presbyterian Church on Alexis Park Drive, Vernon at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 with a reception to follow at her beloved Schubert Centre at 3:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army, Crohns and Colitis Foundation of Canada, CNIB or charity of choice.
