Anne leaves to mourn, 2 children, Pamela (Steve) Brown, Wayne (Mariann) Bodnaruk, Son-in-law, John Pineau (Tami), Gail Fargher, Sister Sylvia (Jerry) Dutchyshen, sisters-in-law, Marilyn Trobiak, Margaret Trohubiak. 8 grandchildren, Jeff (Joanne) Brown, Jennifer (Adam) Zeck, Shawn Fargher, Leah Pineau, Jason (Carolyn) Pineau, Brooklyn (David) Brenner, Maddison (Tanner) Bodnaruk, Roslyn (Brock) Bodnaruk. 6 great-grandchildren, Justin Brown, Ashley Brown, Emily Brown, Chelsea Zeck, Dawson Bodnaruk, Boden and Bronson Brenner.
Predeceased by her parents, Nick and Mary Trohubiak, husband, Nestor Bodnaruk, children, Gail Pineau, Dan Bodnaruk. Brothers, Nick Trohubiak, Harry Trohubiak, Mike Trohubiak, Walter Trohubiak, Steve Trohubiak, and sisters, Jean Micheliski, Stella Hrabarchuk, numerous nieces and nephews.
Anne, eldest daughter of Nick and Mary, grew up in Ethelbert, Manitoba. She married in January 1947 to Nestor Bodnaruk. They lived in Chilliwack, Germany then moved to Shiloh, Manitoba until retirement. In 1973, they moved to Vernon, BC and she worked at the Jubilee Hospital until 1989. Anne was very active in the Ladies Auxillary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was awarded the Eagles Honorary Provincial Mother in 2018. She was very proud of her Ukrainian Heritage and kept up with creating all the traditional dishes.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home (4303 Pleasant Valley Road, Vernon, BC).
