Santa Paula native Tyler Scott Rushing, 34, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017. He was born October 22, 1982, to Scott and Paula Rushing. Tyler attended Ventura Missionary School through eighth grade, then attended Santa Paula High School before graduating from St. Bonaventure High School. He studied media at Ventura College.
Tyler was compassionate, polite, and had a gentle soul, freely giving of his time and talents. Those lucky enough to call him friend enjoyed his positive attitude and ability to live-in-the-moment. Tyler owned his own business, Clear Perfection Window Cleaning, where he served many residential and commercial clients. He is fondly remembered and respected, living up to the name of his company as a perfectionist. In his spare time, he worked on crews doing construction projects and stage set-up at music and art venues, up and down the state. He loved skateboarding, music, dancing, art, Star Wars, the environment, and photography. Tyler was working on a new venture, to be named Tyger Eye Photography, where he could highlight his views and passions. Of particular interest to him was the plight of the homeless. Tyler mentioned he wanted to tell their stories as a photojournalist.
Tyler was always ready to lend a helping hand, with a “can-do” spirit, open mind, and loving heart. When you remember him try to do something kind. Tyler would want us to appreciate each moment and each other because “everything is Soo Good.”
Grandparents, Bob and Landa Rushing and Grandpa Ed Staben welcomed Tyler with open arms on July 23rd. Tyler will be greatly missed by his parents, Scott and Paula Rushing; sister Hillary Rushing; grandmother Laura Staben; aunts Sally Staben and Nancy (Jim) Zdenek; uncle Mel (Cindy) Rushing; first cousins Brittany (Brian) Jost, and Julie, Michael, and Makalie Zdenek, Todd (Ashley) Rushing, Blake (Allison) Rushing, Caroline (Joey) Corraza, and Brent Rushing; along with other loving relatives and numerous close friends.
