Juanita Burkett

Juanita was born December 16, 1926, in Alma, Ark. She moved to Oxnard, Calif., in 1945, where she lived for 20 years. After that she lived in Ventura for 47 years. She worked on the Seabee base in Port Hueneme in the FACSO Dept for 32 years. She lived in San Diego the last two years of her life.

Juanita is survived by her daughters, Dixie and Orvel Jones of Oxnard, and Debbie and Chuck Burtelino of San Diego; grandson, Scott and Sandra Jones of San Diego; granddaughter, Jami and Eric Voulgaris of Santa Barbara; great-grandchildren, Marin Jones and Quinn Jones of San Diego, Scott Voulgaris and Kyle Voulgaris of Santa Barbara; sisters, Ruby and Meryl Jones of Somis, Calif., Diane Celeri of Texas, Barbara and Ray Green of Arkansas; brother, Jim Brodie of Ventura, Dr. and Mrs. William and Mary Brodie of New York; sister-in-law, Betty Brodie of Arkansas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, May 22, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Charles Carroll Funeral Home in Ventura. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 23, at 12:30 p.m. at Coastline Bible Church in Ventura.
